I illustrated the book Let's Discover the Portuguese National Library with text by Luísa Ducla Soares. This book was published by the National Press (Imprensa Nacional – Casa da Moeda), with the support of the Nacional Library (Biblioteca Nacional de Portugal) and art direction of Pato Lógico.
The Portuguese National Library is more than 200 years old. It has been in several locations under different names. The current building was open in 1969.
The entrance, the disinfestation, the cataloguing and classification, the restoration and conservation and the deposit in a tower are the various stages of the book path inside this bibliographic heritage.
The reader also has a path of his own in the reference room, the room of general reading, reserved readings room, cartography room, iconography room and music rooms. There are rooms and texts for all. At the end of the book, there are also exercises and activities for the readers to find out what they know about the most significant Portuguese library.
