I was fortunate enough to have the chance to work with one of the best texts ever written in the Portuguese language—Memórias Póstumas de Brás Cubas (The Posthumous Memoirs of Bras Cubas). It made me very happy to be able to research intensely and develop a visual narrative sequence around this complex text, with various layers and dimensions. 

Although it is a novel, in this special edition there are more than twenty illustrations, painted and stamped with gouache, precisely placed in the places I choose. The book has been published by Editorial Sexto Piso, in a collection with classic novels illustrated by some illustration masters like Manuel Marsol or Pablo Auladell.
